I find the path that works — even when it's not the obvious one.

My career has been anything but linear. Twenty years as a panel beater, specialising in classic car restoration. Then twenty years as a systems administrator at New Zealand's Ministry of Health. Now I'm transitioning into blockchain applications.

The thread that connects it all: craftsmanship. Whether it's shaping metal with hammer and dolly (no filler), keeping enterprise systems running at scale, or writing smart contracts — I go deep, learn how things actually work, and do the job properly.

I'm a visual learner with a knack for pattern recognition. Show me once and I'll remember the steps decades later. I write thorough documentation because I know what it's like to inherit a system with none.
